Description
Traditional Yerba Mate vs. Yerba Mate Matcha
Yerba Mate is one we were passionate about in its original loose-leaf form, but after trying the Matcha version, we have yet to go back.
Yerba Mate vs. Matcha
Preparation
Simple and easier to work with than traditional green tea Matcha. It is slightly coarser and has less tendency to clump up.
Hot & Cold
Yerba Mate Matcha can be prepared hot or cold. Hot will be more bitter than cold. We find that when prepared cold, it makes a smooth refreshing iced tea. Add a slice of lemon.
Taste
It is generally less bitter, and there is a unique freshness on the palate. A light, delightful flavor that is very different from green tea Matcha.
Energy
Provides smooth, long-lasting energy, different than coffee and different from green tea, black tea, oolong, and white tea. Very difficult to describe. It’s a revolutionary Matcha tea that is here to stay.
Organic
This powder is made from organic Yerba Mate leaf. A premium-grade leaf transformed in a convenient format.
Price
Affordable and worth every penny. You can make over 500-1000 servings with 1kg. Good luck finding a sugar-free, organic energy drink that costs 25-50 cents a shot.
A Breakthrough Discovery
This Matcha was developed by a Japanese who moved to Brazil and found Yerba Mate trees growing in the backyard. It was only a matter of time before the great idea of transforming this into a fine powder. Yerba mate in Matcha style, who would have thought this would be a breakthrough discovery, even for the Matcha Connoisseur?
